POLICIES

POLICIES: These are the basics, the contract will give you the whole scoop, but this will give you a general idea of how we roll.

DEPOSITS: So if you come we can bet we have screened you well and you are a good guest... and in the past 2 years the only guests who have lost their deposit did not do anything to deserve losing it, they were good respectful people... but they invited poorly. BE CAREFUL WHO YOU INVITE. They may cost you dearly if they are idiots. Ask yourself in advance... "would I trust this guy with a brand new Maserati? -with my children? -with my wife?"

Top 20 things to avoid..., read this list and we may sound like jerks, but in reality we are pretty cool... however- some people actually need to be told these things. If you don't like this list PLEASE book a different cabin, we seek respectful people who 'get-it', who actually will let us know when they break something because they realize that we will really respect them back- if that doesn't sound familiar, I can recommend other places.

  • No Alcohol without prior approval

  • No Guns, pellet guns, airlift, paintball and BB guns included are not OK, AT ALL.

  • NO pets at all... we have an owner with severe allergies; they also hear all the wildlife outside and go bizerk.

  • No fires outside AT ALL, the only fires allowed are the wood-stove and gas grill or in our on-the-deck gas marshmallow griller-thing; They arrest you - it's a Grade 3 Fire Zone area.

  • PARTIES- We don’t host weddings or parties, birthdays and anniversaries are OK.

  • Quiet groups: If we get a call from anyone your deposit will be at risk.

  • No alcohol with any groups with ATVs- PERIOD. If this is a priority please book elsewhere

  • ATVs and snowmobiles ONLY on the driveway- on the grounds? on neighbors property = good bye deposit.

  • NO SMOKING in the cabin, around the cabin, and we charge for cleaning up cig butts, so really, best if you did it in Midway

  • 25mph max for everything, cars, ATVs, Razors…

  • NO street parking or other driveways EVER EVER, you'll be towed without notice which REALLY sucks since they can tow it to SLC

  • Turn off lights, fans, etc. and in winter close all windows before you leave.

  • Don't rearrange the furniture, this is not your den; our cleaners are tiny people.

  • If you break something let us know, we're cool- if we have to find it and bill you, it's $$$

  • Treat everything like it's your own and you actually care about it, or maybe NOT like your own but like someone you respect and want to take care of.

  • Respect the wildlife, do not harm, touch, feed, bother, molest or try to approach any of the animal life;

  • Don't carve anything on trees

  • Clean the gas grills after you use them, common sense... turn off the gas too please.

  • Clean your own dishes, pots, microwave disasters, pans, etc., the cleaning crew are not related to you and charge extra for disasters.

  • Put away and care for video games and board games, KEEP THEM UP HIGH and don't lose the pieces or let little Carver eat them or stick them in his diaper

A rated! Large enough for a large family gathering, well-stocked kitchen, good location

We wanted to have our family reunion (it was the 50th anniversary for my parents) in a place that could accommodate a large group, including an children ranging from an infant and several preschool age children all the way up to teenagers. Everyone had a great time. The great room was large enough for all of us to gather at mealtimes, and there was plenty to do. Large enough for a large family gathering, well-stocked kitchen, good location - I really liked that there was a keypad for entry, and not a key. Because we had a big group, it was nice to not have to worry about who had the key, and people could come and go as they liked. Thanks! Great! The first morning there were 7-9 deer in the back of the cabin (two with large racks of antlers), and 1 on the side of the cabin near the salt lick. The second morning, there was a doe with 2 fawns and several other deer- the kids woke up earlier than we wanted them too because they were excited to see how many deer would be around the cabin in the morning.
